  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, a chosen username, and a display name. We also store a secure hash of your password.
  • User-Generated Content: We store the fictional universes, world cards, stories, and elements you create or interact with.
  • Usage Data: We use Google Analytics to understand how our site is used. This includes information like your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Anthologist platform.
  • Manage your account and provide customer support.
  • AI Generation: To generate stories and world elements, the prompts and context you provide are sent to third-party AI models via OpenRouter.
  • Newsletters: If you explicitly subscribe, we will send you newsletters and story deliveries. You can opt-out at any time.

We do not sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Account Data: If you choose to delete your account, all personal data (email, username, password) will be permanently deleted from our servers. This action is irreversible.
  • Universe Data: Because Anthologist is a platform for shared fictional history, the universes and stories you create are retained indefinitely to preserve the integrity of the fictional worlds, even after an account is deleted.

4. Children's Privacy

Anthologist is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
